FFS in partnership with FIFA donated much needed football equipment’s to 22 Clubs in Upolu. The FFS President stated that the gears are part of the FFS Club assistance project funded by FIFA.
Representative’s from the 22 clubs in Upolu were all present today to receive the equipment’s which were the second lot of equipment’s for the clubs. The equipment consisted of 40 soccer balls 4, goal keeper gloves, 2 tactic boards, 60 markers, 40 cones, 4 drinking bottle holders and 32 water bottles.

“To the beneficiaries of the equipment here, we hope that they would make good use of the equipment and that it would go a long way and bring some sense of normalcy to the kids who will benefit from this.

Recently the FFS began to roll out some protocols for clubs to resume football in a phased approach. Hopefully, this donation will be the first of many forms of assistance we will be receiving and rendering to the footballers here in Upolu and Savaii FFS President said.
FFS is yet to confirm a date to present the second lot of equipments for Savaii Clubs.

The total cost of the Project is USD350,000 funded by FIFA.
