First female from Samoa Football has completed the Football Executive Programme

In a historic achievement, Ms. Pelenatete Taei, the Football Social Responsibility Manager for Samoa, has successfully graduated from the Football Executive Programme in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

This program, which spanned one year, commenced in 2024 and reached completion in May of this year.

The curriculum consisted of five modules, with the first module taking place in Jardata, Indonesia. The subsequent two modules occurred in Cambodia; however, Ms. Taei was unable to attend due to her responsibilities as the Acting Chief Executive Officer at Samoa Football.

The fourth and fifth modules were conducted in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where Ms. Taei participated and ultimately graduated.

Having contributed to Samoa Football for two years, Ms. Taei serves as the Manager of the Just Play team and oversees Social Responsibility initiatives.

She expressed her gratitude, stating, โ€œFirst and foremost, I acknowledge the love and grace of our God, which has been instrumental in my success. I encountered numerous challenges, yet through Jesus Christ, who strengthens me daily, I was able to overcome them.

I extend my sincere appreciation to the President and the Board of Directors for facilitating my participation in this program.

I also wish to thank our staff and all individuals who played a role in my journey. I encourage my colleagues to embrace any opportunity that arises and utilise it for the advancement of Samoa Football. ‘Plant a seed today for our future generation.’โ€

Ms. Taei is expected to return to Samoa at the end of this week.
