
Samoa’s U-16 Men’s National Team is preparing for one of the biggest challenges in youth football as they gear up to compete in the OFC U-16 Men’s Championship 2026, set to take place in Papua New Guinea from 12–25 July 2026.
Drawn into Group A, Samoa will face hosts Papua New Guinea, 2025 runners-up New Caledonia, and Fiji in what promises to be a highly competitive group stage. The tournament will bring together the best young football talents from across Oceania, all vying for regional glory and a place on the world stage.
The OFC U-16 Men’s Championship is the premier youth football competition in Oceania and will mark its 23rd edition since its inception in 1983. For Samoa, the tournament presents an opportunity to showcase the development of its young players and continue building towards future success at both regional and international levels.
With months of preparation behind them, Samoa’s squad will enter the competition determined to represent their country with pride, passion, and commitment. Defending champions New Zealand headline Group B alongside the Solomon Islands, Tahiti, and qualifying winners Vanuatu. Meanwhile, Group A features Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia, Fiji, and Samoa, setting the stage for an exciting two weeks of football in Port Moresby.
