The Football Federation Samoa (FFS) Competition calendar that was on hold due to the Government of Samoa’s SOE is now scheduled to kick start on the 20th June 2020. The FFS Executive Board resolved to roll out FFS competitions starting with the Youth League competition with strict adherence to the two meter distance between players and all involved. As one of FFS main events of the year, the goal is to restart the local competition but within the amended rules as ordered by the Government through its SOE orders.
All football activities were on hold for 3 months and the start of the competition calendar has been welcomed by the football clubs.
The FFS Youth competition caters for boys and girls categories specifically for registered clubs in Upolu and is scheduled to run from the 20th June to 8th August 2020. Two new clubs have joined this year’s Youth tournament however FFS aims to increase the number of clubs and is looking at hosting tournaments in rural areas to enable this.
The tournament is scheduled to take place on weekdays and weekends. No entrance fee to watch weekly football action.
