FFS distributed four thousand free balls  

Whilst Christmas is around the corner Football Federation Samoa practice the tradition for the season by giving out 10 balls each to a total number of one hundred and ten Government and Private schools, non-government and private organizations, Sunday schools and communities around Upolu and Savaii.

The inaugural distribution took two weeks to complete as many where in surprised with the visit from Football Samoa technical team visit.

FFS technical director Valerio Raccuglia stated the purpose of the distribution. “Since resources for football is limited, we were thinking of giving out balls for schools while they are working towards the end of this semester. It is also a token of appreciation for schools and communities who took part in our annual grassroots developments such as Fun Football and Just Play, Raccuglia says.

Vailima Primary school Principal Mafutaga Manufeao Fa’apusi acknowledged FFS gift not only for their school but for the entire balls recipients. “ We are looking forward of using these resources wisely next year. Soccer balls bit expensive and I want to thank the federation for a great initiative


Ball distribution is part of Football Federation Samoa vision empowering football in Grassroots level by giving out such resources to help develop and grow football and offering free grassroots program to Primary and Private school‘s and non-government organizations.
