Kiwi FC Women’s Premier has once again finished at the top of the Samoa Football Federation Women’s Premier League after Round One of the 2026 season, extending a legacy that has defined women’s football in Samoa for more than two decades.
Head Coach Leti Tamasese credited the team’s continued success to faith, discipline, and a shared commitment to excellence both on and off the field. She reflected on the club’s proud history, including becoming the first Samoan women’s club to compete at the OFC Women’s Champions League in Papua New Guinea in 2023, describing it as a milestone that opened new opportunities for women’s football in Samoa.
“Our journey has never been about trophies alone,” said Tamasese. “We are committed to developing women of character, leadership, humility, honesty, and excellence. Through every challenge, our faith in God has strengthened and united us.”
Looking ahead to next year’s OFC Women’s Champions League, Tamasese said preparations have already begun, with the team focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and representing Samoa with pride.
She also shared a message of encouragement to aspiring women’s teams across the country, reminding them that true champions are built through sacrifice, discipline, and perseverance long before match day.
Despite the club’s remarkable achievements over the years, Tamasese remained humble, giving all the glory to God.
“None of this was by our own strength. It wasn’t us—it was Jesus Christ. To Him belongs all the glory.”
