OPPORTUNITY FOR PLAYERS

Football Federation Samoa wishes to advise that the Gazprom International Children’s Social Programme Football for Friendship is inviting ONE young football player from Samoa to participate in the Football for Friendship (F4F) programme.

Those who are interested in being considered for this opportunity must meet the following selection criteria:

• Be 12 years (born between 27 November 2008 – 27 November 2009)  
• Passionate about football and play in the FFS Youth League
• Has good command of the English language (both oral and written)
• Willingness to support, develop and promote the nine values of the programme (see attached document)
• Provide a short introduction essay of 300 – 350 words addressing the following components:
  • Background
    • Where you were born;
    • Family;
    • Friends
  • Football experience
    • Age you started playing football
    • Football achievements
    • Where you are playing now
    • Future career plans
  • Interesting facts
    • Favourite players
    • Favourite clubs
    • Hobbies
  • Leadership skills
    • What leadership skills do you have?
  • Key human value promotions
    • Why do you think it’s important to promote Friendship?
    • Why do you think it’s important to promote Equality?
    • Why do you think it’s important to promote Peace?
    • Why do you think it’s important to promote Fairness?
    • Why do you think it’s important to promote Health?
    • Why do you think it’s important to promote Devotion?
    • Why do you think it’s important to promote Victory?
    • Why do you think it’s important to promote Traditions?
    • Why do you think it’s important to promote Honor?

FFS therefore invites interested young football players (male or female) who meet the above criteria to register their interest with FFS, no later than 10am, Wednesday 28^th October 2020. Players with disability are encouraged to register.

Evidence confirming name and age must be provided together with your introduction essay.

FFS will select ONE candidate who meets all the selection criteria to participate in this programme from the list of registered candidates.
