Samoa Football will host an important Safeguarding Briefing this Wednesday at Tuanaimato for all U-16 and U-19 male players, along with coaching staff involved within the youth development programme.
The session forms part of Samoa Football’s ongoing commitment to creating a safe, respectful, and positive environment for every player participating in the game. As football continues to grow across the country, safeguarding remains a key priority to ensure the wellbeing, protection, and development of young athletes both on and off the field.
The briefing will focus on promoting awareness around player welfare, respect, discipline, appropriate behaviour, and the responsibilities shared by players, coaches, and officials in maintaining a safe football environment. It will also encourage open communication and reinforce the importance of supporting one another as one football family.
Samoa Football believes that every player deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and enjoy the game in an environment built on trust, respect, and positivity. Through initiatives such as this, the federation continues to strengthen its commitment to youth development and the long-term future of football in Samoa.
The Safeguarding Briefing will take place at Tuanaimato on Wednesday, 20 May at 3:45 PM. All invited players and coaching staff are strongly encouraged to attend and actively participate in this important programme.
Together, we create a safe and positive environment — for our game, for our future.
