Samoa gearing up for match day 2

Despite losing in their first friendly match against Fiji, Team Samoa continue to be optimistic and are working hard to amend their mistakes from their first match to improve in today’s match.
The national training squad departed Samoa on Sunday night for Suva to prepare for the upcoming Women’s Nations Cup. Although team Samoa has only assembled for a week, their coach is happy to see the team together for week.
“It’s been really good so far, we’ve got 17 girls here all learning how to work together for the first time. The game against Fiji on Monday was a chance to measure ourselves against another Pacific nation. We have done some good work on and off the training field so today is about seeing if we can put those things in to practice against Fiji, says Nicola Demaine.
The week-long camp brings together local and international players and a final squad is set to be announced on Friday to represent Samoa in the Nations Cup next month.
