Brazil Ambassador visit FFS Grounds

Mr Gradilone has requested an audience with the FFS President Savae Togia Toetu Petana and Chief Executive Officer Sarai Bareman when he came to Samoa last week Wednesday to present his credentials to his Highness Tuiatua Tupua Tamasese Efi.
He visited the FFS offices on Tuesday morning and the FFS organised a Just Play Festival with local children from Vaitele Primary School to welcome him.
One of the main topics discussed at the meeting was the highlights of the 2014 FIFA World cup that will be held in Brazil.
Gradilone was amazed with the development of Football in Samoa, especially given its geographical distance from Football powerhouse Brazil.
He said people in his country will be very surprised and excited to know that even in Samoa the people are making steps towards participating in the World Cup some day.
He stated in his speech to the children from Vaitele that he is looking forward of having a team from his home country come to play in Samoa in the future. He also said the facilities here are in Samoa are excellent; and was given information from President Savae about the new Futusal court and the opening of the new Regional Centre in Savaii.
CEO Sarai Bareman thanked his Excellency for sparing his time to visit and speak with the FFS. She also presented him with a small gift from FFS as a token of appreciation.
The Ambassador and the FFS will remain in contact to discuss development opportunities through football for the two countries.
This is the third time FFS has hosted a visiting Ambassador to Samoa.
Mr Gradilone left Samoa on Tuesday night.
