Lupe ole Soaga continues winning run

Defending Men’s Premier League Shield holders Lupe ole Soaga from Magiagi has continued their winning streak with a of 2-2 win against Moaula from Mataua on Saturday evening at the Football Federation Samoa fields in Tunaimato.
Lupe and Moaula started the game playing offensive free flowing football. Both teams played well, however, Lupe proved to be the much better team by scoring 2 tries in the last half of the game, which enabled them to retain the shield with a final score of two all.
In the Women’s Premier League games, Vaimoso (shield holders) managed a 3-1 win against Lupe ole Soaga.
The current league is specifically for the registered clubs in Upolu. National League tournament is an annual activity of the Football Federation Samoa which started in October 2013.
National League caters for youth division ranging from under 12 boys and girls, under 15 boys and girls to under 17 boys as well as senior men’s and women’s divisions.
The Men’s Premier League is the top league where the winner will have a chance to represent Samoa at a regional Oceania tournament – the Oceania Champions League which runs each year.
