Football pathway to success

Football Federation Samoa head officer for Womens Development Programme and Just Play Project Manager Lynette Laumea Fa’aiuaso along with the acting competitions manager Papalii Tala Saveaalii attended a one week course organized and monitored by OFC .
Lynette Laumea Faaiuaso stated that she learned alot from this course whereby she had the opportunity to share and to discuss ideas of lifting the level of Football not only in the region but for Samoa alone.
Papalii Tala Savealii was present on behalf of the FFS competitions side to attend the D license course to uplift the standard of coaching in Samoa. The course was designed specifically for instructors and participants from the region to gain and explore their knowledge of providing coaching courses within their countries.
“I am thankful that I got the opportunity to learn new skills and ways to improving coaching aspects for Samoa. I am looking forward of delievering a workshop on my own to enhance the development of football in samoa”says Papalii Tala.
The seminar highlighted the level of Womens Football development in the region stated by FIFA developement officer Glenn Turner.
“It says to me OFC has really come of age in terms of its technical development, but it’s not just OFC. I think that the member associations have grown in stature and are achieving a lot more,” Turner said on oceaniafootball.com.
11 member associations shared just some of the projects and strategies that are helping them set the standard throughout the region. FIFA representative explained clearly to all the participants that FIFA strongly supports any football acitivities that benefits the sports, that’s if there’s a commitment of developing the game.
The instrutor course is held every four years.
