Adidas continues winning run

Adidas and Unity started the game playing offensive free flowing football. Both teams played well, however, Adidas proved to be the much better team by scoring 3 tries in the first half of the game, and a further 3 tries near the end of the game which enabled them to retain the shield with a final score of 6 – 0.
Despite their win, the President of Adidas Soccer Club, Palota Asiata stated that he happy with the win but he was also disappointed with the team as he thought that they did not play as a team but as individuals; since the majority of the team are national players, he believes that they should play in a way that shows and encourages team work and unity as they are role models for young aspiring soccer players.
The Coach for Unity, Fogalevai Tunoa Lui on the other hand, was happy with his team’s performance despite their loss. He stated that; “Adidas is a very strong team, my players have never played football before and this is their first time playing in Premier League Level. I’m happy with the performance and they have showed interest in playing football. Hopefully in two years time they will improve in the Premier level”.
The Adidas ladies team will defend the shield again this week against close rivals Vaimoso SC. The game kicks off at the FFS Football Complex at 12pm.
In the Men’s Premier League games, Apia Youth managed a 3-2 win against Lepea. Adidas SC proved to be too strong for Central United winning 11-0, and Moaula FC trampled over a weakened 7-man Goldstar Sogi team with a final score of 27-3.
